This is the card I designed for the moms in my life this year!
I had a wonderful first Mother’s Day, Em and my hubby got me the cutest card with a bumblebee (of course symbolizing my “Emabee”).
Being a mom is truly the very best gift!

A photo shoot rich in textures, patterns and personalities. “S” is a charming baby girl with beautiful big brown eyes that capture your heart. This one is a confident soul and ready to go. Although not always easy to capture a photo, “S” is a spunky babe. I just love her expressions!
I had so much fun working with all the props we pulled together. My old barn ladder worked perfectly with “S’s” special quilt. One of my faves from this session is Mom’s boots framing “S”, when I saw those gorgeous brown (almost) knee highs, I knew I had to use them somehow.
A fun fact: “S” was born on my first wedding anniversary.

The Emabee Wish Project has selected it’s first extraordinary parent. Thank you everyone for your submissions. There are so many parents out there deserving of some sweet honey. I have chosen a single mom, “C” this month and look forward to our shoot. She is very courageous and has a wonderful, supportive friend, “K” who believes in her and sent a heartwarming story about “C” and her baby.
Get those nominations in! The next admirable parent will be chosen at the end of June.

As she holds up two fingers to indicate just how old she is, tears open presents, chows down on mommy’s homemade birthday cake (which she baked at 2:30am that same day, and aren’t the candle holders adorable?), I do believe she had a great birthday celebration! Despite the semi-meltdown mid afternoon due to the sniffles, Elise was surrounded by family and friends to enjoy an afternoon of sunshine and tasty BBQ.
Life will be changing soon for this toddler, with a little sister on the way in only a month. Now that she’s a big girl I’m sure she will be delighted to help her mom care for a new baby!
Of course I look forward to the photo opportunities with the two beauties.
My guess for the big day is May 30th.
Actual due date – May 28th
When Mel wants the baby to come – NOW!!!
